Since 2005, American Founadtion for Bulgaria - branch Bulgaria gives scholarship awards to highschool students, who represent Republic of Bulgaria in International Science Olympiads. Every year, about 70 young competitor, participate in the International Olympiads in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Astrophysics, Linguistics, and other international competitions. About 65 of them win bronze, silver, and gold medals.

In 2016, our scholarship holder Hristo Venev, after winning his one silver, and four gold medals, made it 2nd in the world in the Hall of Fame, of the International Olympiad in Informatics.
