CodeIT is one of the oldest programming competitions and the most elite private national competition in informatics in Bulgaria. The competition takes place annually in 6 rounds without attendance and and final attendance round. The 12 best competitors go the grand final during the season, then the final round and the awarding ceremony is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The chief representative of the competition jury is Krasimir Manev, President of the "International Olympiad in Informatics" /IOI/ and a chairman of the initiative committee of the First european junior olympiad in informatics, Bulgaria 2017.
American Foundation for Bulgaria supports CodeIT by awarding prizes to the winners.
